Dhobi Ghat. I prefer Mumbai Diaries

Dhobi Ghat
Dhobi Ghat is a movie made by debutante director Kiran Rao, best known as Aamir Khan's wife. Well, quite obviously the man is in the movie and looks super sexy with his salt and pepper hair.

There are two ways you can look at the movie. It will either be engrossing (artistically) or downright boring. Considering I never liked masala bollywood flicks, I would go with the former.

I have no idea how Prateik Babbar hasn't been noticed yet. His role in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was cute and in this flick, he is brilliant as well.

Aamir Khan playing a reclusive painter suits him perfectly considering he is ra eclusive actor himself. Kiran Rao does a decent job is tying the four stories together. Though the movie was advertised as four stories, it was one movie that would either force you to leave or keep you stuck on your seats.

I personally don't like the name of the movie though. Mumbai Diaries, the alternative title suits the movie better, especially considering the audience Kiran Rao made the movie for.

Go and watch it if you enjoy sensible cinema. If you are looking at brainless entertainment, walk into Yamla Pagla Deewana.
